My adventure began in Ohio. I was lucky enough to be raised by my wonderful mother who was fiercely independent and strong. Fortunately, I also had my maternal grandparents nearby.
My memories of my time in Ohio are limited but all positive. Since birth I have been a traveler, going across the country with my mother to conferences, conventions, and just fun adventures.
When I was 4, we moved to Hendersonville, TN. During my years in TN, I enjoyed learning and practicing the arts (painting, clay, music, dance), along with bowling (league champ for 3 years in the state for my age group), and I also had horses. For a short time I explored my Jewish heritage by attending an Orthodox Hebrew Day school in Nashville which impacted me in ways I wouldn't recognize until many years later.

In late 1995 we moved to Greenville, SC. I continued school, the arts, bowling and found I had a growing interest in business. Seeking challenges and opportunities was a passion both in school and through personal goals I set.
For a short time during my early high school days we moved to Vermillion, SD. I made it back to Greenville just shy of 2 years later. My time in SD was without question an experience and I learned a great deal from my time there. After returning to SC I graduated high school, began college and full time employment. I am proud to have accomplished all of this at the early age of 15. |
I had many opportunities for adventures near and far from home while growing up including travels to most of the US states (including Hawaii), Canada, Mexico, Australia, Italy, and Scotland. Some were for fun, some were for education, and the best were for both!
My travels sparked curiosity and desires to learn which impacted my educational focuses toward business and furthering my personal independence. I was fortunate to be able to utilize my skills in my work which allowed for rapid advancement and additional growth opportunities. |
Choosing to become a mother definitely changed my travel schedule and made me reevaluate my career goals. My son brought a joy to my life no adventure possibly could.
In my life, I've been able to see many children grow and succeed. Seeing my son do the same is very heartwarming. As long as I have been able, youth education of business and economic development has been an active passion leading me to work with high school and university students to develop and grow their career plans. Still today, as a parent to a now driving teenage boy, I work to ensure he has the education and skills to be an independent and contributing human in this ever changing world. |
The business ownership years...
In June of 2007 my mother and I went into business. The inspiration for our little gourmet cupcakery came out of a trip my mother made to visit her sister in Chicago. As I had always wanted to be a business owner and have a small specialty cafe it was a perfect fit. It took nearly a year to get the doors open and June 10, 2008 couldn't have come sooner for us.
Owning and operating a business is an education like no other. I can honestly say I learned more doing than I ever did sitting in the classroom. For just over 5 years, and until I closed the doors July 19, 2013, the shop was a success and had great reviews. While the decision to close was very difficult it was a welcome opportunity to make major changes in my life both personally and professionally.

Starting anew in technology.
September of 2013 I returned to the corporate world at Scan Source Inc. in the North American Catalyst Division of the Greenville, SC based global distribution company. It was change, but it was the right decision.
I earned several sales and technical certifications during my time as ScanSource before taking a specialized sales from in late February 2014 I focusing mainly on the Cisco products lines. I was excited by the new challenges and opportunities of the position but like most driven leaders I kept looking for my passion and evaluating my future.

During my time at Scan Source I was fortunate to work with some amazing customers, some of whom I still consider friends. CTS was different though. I was excited by the company, their vision, and the team. So when I was offered an opportunity to work with them I was thrilled!
During my time with CTS, I had the opportunity to meet and work with the executive team. I held positions on the WLAN team and later took on efforts in marketing support capacity as well. It was an exciting ride working on projects for major entertainment parks, Verizon and Super Bowl '17, ePlus, and many more. I enjoyed meeting new friends at events like Cisco Live, CTIA, UBtech, and others.
My time with CTS came to and end as the company underwent restructuring. However, it was time for a change and I was excited to dive into new waters!

not a manufacturer or just a professional services company either... KORE is so much more. The position excited and challenged me daily, allowing me to utilize my experience as a business owner and expand my interest and experience with technology and connectivity. I got to be creative. As 2021 rolled in, I decided it was time for new challenges. I accepted the Director of Operations position at DataRemote, Inc. Not only is DataRemote a provider of IoT solution devices manufactured by companies like CalAmp and Teltonika, we are also a manufacturer of router/ATA products serving customers including one of the nation's largest MNOs. The CDS series of devices provide customers with a way to save existing copper infrastructure by using cellular or broadband to support voice, fax, alarms, and even elevators.
My days involve all aspects of business operations. I manage the teams over our warehouse, RMA, and order management. In 2022 I introduced QuickBase and began working to develop business acceleration applications focused on supply chain, manufactured device lifecycle, and customer service. We just developed and launched a new product exclusive to one of our customers and are working to develop additional products for them and all of our customers. Supply chain management is a big part of my job these days as I work with our factories and vendor partners to manage production schedules through transport and delivery to our customers.
