Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love was born in 2009 and are an extension of Ruff Love Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Thomasville, NC.
In 2016, a handsome Great Dane puppy came into my life. He reconnected me with friends, introduced me to new ones, made some friends of his own and has become so much more to me than a pet the size of a miniature pony. This breed is special and it is only now, as a Dane parent, I can fully appreciate these gentle giants and their unique personalities and needs. While my pup did not come through the rescue I know several who have! I now foster, assist with transports, and perform evaluations when needed.
